Travian - oh how I have missed you!

I do play Travian Legends, a browser game that is mostly about strategy and cooperation. I have been playing it on and off since at least 2007 and it changed massively over the years.

What keeps me coming back is the compelling group game in it. Alliances are required to achieve anything and at the end you may or may not be the alliances completing a world wonder. It can be stressful but is also enjoyable a lot of the time, just the learning curve is steep for every single faction they have.

Right now I play in a 5 player account, yes that is allowed and even well supported by now. We originally planned to play a calm, relaxing round and now ended up part of the alliance leadership of the alliance we started with.

Not sure if that was a wise decision, but it is fun, more fun than just sending troops out to farm competition and wait for resources to pool up. Even got me back to revisiting the tiny calculator and tools site I built around 5 years ago, though a lot is broken. Travian sadly changed a lot about it's HTML output in the last couple years.

Do you also have games like that? Ones that you always come back to?
