First I need to say sorry for being silent for such a long time. My Internet provider claimed to need two month for changes to my access. Those actually took 5 seconds…there weren’t any at all.
But back to the topic at hand: More variety. Since careers in Warhammer Online haven’t been changed a lot in the most recent years and all changes take a lot of time, this is a hopefully more time efficient option: Adding another mastery tree to all careers of a single archetype.
Tanks
- Tactic 3
Enraging Strikes – all abilities, that produce increased hate from Monsters, will now also reduce the damage and heal of the next ability cast by an amount appopriate to level and original hate increase. Lasts to a maximum of 3 seconds. - Ability 5
Swift Intervention – you deal Level*3 damage to an enemy and increase the cast time of the next ability used within 5 seconds by 1.5 seconds. 20 Seconds cooldown. - Tactic 7
Powerful lungs – the cooldown on taunt, battleshout and challenge is reduced by 33%. - Ability 9
Armored and Ready – Increases the armor of your group by 20*Level for the next 10 seconds and returns 33AP over the duration. 30 Seconds cooldown. - Tactic 11
Improved precision – All slows applied by you slow by 10 percentage points more. - Ability 13
Battleshout – Your shout frightens the enemy, reducing the morale of all enemies within 30 feet by 200. 30 Seconds cooldown. - Tactic 15
Dirty tactics – Enemies attacked by you take 33% less damage from you but 10% more damage from other sources.
This tree is meant to increase the supporting abilities of all tanks by making the main tanking tools avaible more often and providing additional buffs and debuffs.
Healers
- Tactic 3
Fast caster – decreases the cast- and channeltimes of all abilities by 20%. - Ability 5
Empowered Lifeleach – For the next 5 seconds, all lifeleaching abilities will heal your friendly target for additional 20% of the damage done. 15 Seconds cooldown. - Tactic 7
Greater Stamina – decreases the duration of slows, silences, knockdowns and staggers by 33% but hands out the original immunities. - Ability 9
Greater Blessing – all targets of the healing effects of your lifeleaches will gain 20% more incoming healing from all Heal over time effects for the next 20 seconds. 30 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 11
Motivation – all heal over time effects add a small bit of morale on every tick to the target. - Ability 13
Quick Aid – Deals Level Damage to enemies within 30 feet of the friendly target. Heals the target for Level*20 and 50% of the damage done. 30 seconds cooldown. 60 feet range. - Tactic 15
controlled release – For HoT-Abilities 50% of all overheal is stored until the last tick of it and applied then.
This tree is meant to make HoT abilities more effective and making longer cast time abilities less devastating for the healers actually casting them. Additionally, lifeleach abilities recieve a minor bit of aid.
Ranged DPS
- Tactic 3
Years of training – The range of all your abilities is increased by 10%. - Ability 5
Quick Escape – You increase your movement speed by 33% for 10 seconds. 30 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 7
Potent Posions/Magics – Your DoT- Effects tick two times as often, but only for 60% of the usual damage per tick damage. - Ability 9
Fast in Mind and Body – Reduces the cast-times of all abilities used in the next 5 Seconds by 1 second. 20 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 11
Eye for weaknesses – On a critical hit, reduces enemies movement speed by 90% for 3 seconds. - Ability 13
Directing Force – You decide on a target and tell your allies, where to strike. Their chance to miss that target is reduced by 20% for the next 10 seconds. 30 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 15
Barricade – Reduces damage taken and speed by 20% each.
This tree serves two purposes, one is making kiters able to keep melee dps away better. The other one is a supportive and static ranged dps, like engineers, who will have a bit better chance at surviving.
Melee-Dps
- Tactic 3
Lone Wolf – increases your toughness by 120. - Ability 5
Offensive Stace – for the next 15 seconds you deal 15% more damage, but also take 30% more. 30 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 7
Fast retreat – increases your movement speed by 50% when under 25% Hitpoints. - Ability 9
No escape – Roots you and your enemy in place. 30 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 11
Protector – You deal 40% less damage, but also reduce the damage your allies within 30 feet take by 15%. - Ability 13
Increased consumption – Deals medium damage. Doubles the cost of the next ability used within 5 seconds. 30 seconds cooldown. - Tactic 15
Duell master – reduces your chance to be parried by 15%.
This tree is meant to help bridge the gap between offensive tanks and defensive mdps, by allowing them to get some protective tools on the cost of damage.
What do you think about those trees? Would you like to see yours avaible?
yours,
Idrinth
